I am 76 years old woman and am missing my 2 front teeth. and many cavities and in need of serious dental work. It is difficult to chew, my mouth is always sore. I am on a fixed income. and am in a lot of pain. Is there a possable grant for Dental implants and or dental work. I take a lot of heart and high blood pressure medicine, and it causes my mouth to be so dry and I am told that it might be hard if not impossable to wear dentures.  I guess I would just like to know if there is such a thing as a grant for Denist work. and how to go about it.

I don't know about grants, but sometimes university dental schools offer free dental care. Try calling dental schools near you.

Sunbeam: Please send me a reply with just your city and state of residence so that I may look for resources available in your area. Also, please be very careful - if you have ANY type of heart problem YOU MUST!!!!!! be given antibiotics for at least 1 week prior to having dental work done or it could kill you. YOU MUST inform any one providing you dental care of your heart condition so that they may take the precautions necessary to protect your health. Blessings, Elaine
